Wesley Elon Fleming, MD
Diplomate, American Board of Sleep Medicine
Dr. Wesley Elon Fleming is the Medical Director of Sleep Center Orange County. He is recognized as a Diplomate of Sleep Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology. Dr. Fleming has been a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine since 2008.
Dr. Fleming graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and has been in practice for over 16 years. He received advanced training in sleep medicine at the world-renowned Michael Aldrich Sleep Disorders Center at the University of Michigan. Dr. Fleming is actively involved in clinical trials as a principal investigator and has published peer- reviewed articles.
Known for his warm and compassionate bedside manner, Dr. Fleming enjoys seeing people’s lives transformed by the advancements in sleep medicine. “I was trained as a neurologist, but I gravitated toward sleep medicine because I saw a great need for this type of care,” says Dr. Fleming. “So many people suffer with sleep disorders needlessly. Today we have the means to help patients almost immediately, and the difference it can make in someone’s life is phenomenal. It’s a very gratifying field of medicine.”
Armaghan Azad, MD, MPH
Dr. Azad holds Clinical Faculty appointments through UCLA and Western University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Azad is an integral member of Sleep Center Orange County. She is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and has a Masters of Public Health. Dr Azad holds clinical faculty appointments through UCLA and Western University of Health Sciences. Most recently, she joined as a consultant for “The Plan” and “The Metabolism Plan”, a groundbreaking, anti-inflammatory, nutritional protocol which is published in over 15 countries.
Dr. Azad brings over 15 years of experience in primary care and preventive medicine, with a special focus on Sleep Medicine to Sleep Center Orange County. She feels the key to living well is not just in treating disease but in preventing it. There is extensive research on how a lack of sleep and poor quality of sleep contribute to the development of chronic disease. Dr Azad is committed to helping patients address their sleep issues in a comprehensive approach. She combines her love for medicine and her passion for cooking into a unique way of tying sleep, diet, inflammation and overall health together.
When she is not seeing patients at Sleep Center Orange County, Dr. Azad serves as an Attending Physician at Riverside University Health Systems in both Departments of Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine.
Our office has several sleep technologists in the evening trained to monitor your heart, breathing and oxygen levels while you are asleep. They are here to make your stay as comfortable as possible as they obtain information while you sleep.
